auctionmanager - The auction software built for today’s requirements
Your existing software has brought you a long way. But will it carry you through the next ten years?
Most auction houses use a software solution that handles their core tasks effectively – catalogues, lots and invoices. However, requirements have changed: mandatory e-invoicing, anti-money laundering compliance, digital payment methods, mobile workflows and customers who expect a modern purchasing experience. Many established systems were never designed for these demands and can only be upgraded with considerable difficulty – if at all.
auctionmanager by bidnovate was designed from the ground up for this new reality.
Mobile consignment
Capture objects directly on site, paperlessly and in full legal compliance.
AI-powered cataloguing
Automatically identify and describe objects.
Compliance included
AML regulations, e-invoicing and legal requirements covered as standard.
Digital payments
Secure, fast and convenient, just like in an online shop.
Consign where the object is – not where your desk is.
With electronic consignment via smartphone or tablet, you can record objects directly on site – for example during a house clearance, when handling an estate, or at a collector’s home. Take photos, add descriptions, prepare the contract, and the consignor signs electronically directly on the display.
No paper forms, no re-entering data at the office, no lost notes: by the time you leave the appointment, the consignment is already fully recorded in the system – legally compliant, documented and ready for cataloguing.
AI-powered object recognition and description
The working photographs taken on site are, of course, not intended for the catalogue – professional catalogue photography remains a separate step carried out at your auction house. But they serve another purpose that is at least equally valuable: the integrated AI recognises the object from the images and automatically generates an initial description proposal for data entry. This means every object is correctly classified, categorised and searchable in the system from the very beginning – including condition documentation recorded directly at the time of handover.
This creates clarity in handling, helps prevent later disputes with consignors and provides your experts with a solid basis for the actual cataloguing process.
Legal requirements? Already built in.
What requires expensive add-on modules or manual workarounds in legacy systems comes as standard with auctionmanager:
Anti-money laundering compliance (GwG):
Identity verification, documentation and threshold monitoring are integrated directly into the auction workflow – allowing you to meet your due diligence obligations without your team having to maintain manual lists.
E-invoicing
auctionmanager automatically generates structured electronic invoices in full compliance with legal requirements – for buyers, consignors and business customers.
This means you are not only compliant today, but also better equipped to respond to future regulations faster than your competitors.
Communication and payment at a modern standard
Communication where your customers are
The auctionmanager is email-enabled and connected to messenger services: bidding confirmations, payment reminders, collection information and consignor updates automatically reach your customers through the channel they actually use. No more manually sent bulk emails – and no more customers finding out about their successful bid days later.
Paying as conveniently as in modern e-commerce
Through integration with digital payment service providers, your buyers can pay as conveniently as in any online shop – quickly, securely and without switching between systems. This noticeably speeds up incoming payments and reduces the effort required for payment reminders.
Your customers will notice the difference
Ultimately, the people your business depends on benefit most: your bidders and consignors. The consignor experiences a straightforward process directly at home, while the buyer benefits from transparent communication and easy payment. This strengthens their loyalty to your auction house and makes you more attractive to a new, digitally minded generation of collectors who will simply bid elsewhere when faced with outdated processes.
And the foundation is solid too
Naturally, the auctionmanager handles every aspect of day-to-day operations: auctions, lots, consignors, buyers, inventory, contracts and settlements – all in one system, from the object’s arrival to the final payout. Its modern architecture scales seamlessly from specialist auctions to major international sales.
Digital at your own pace – nothing is mandatory, everything is possible
All new features are options, not obligations. You decide what to use and when: those who prefer to continue accepting consignments at the auction house, collecting signatures on paper or writing descriptions entirely themselves can work with the auctionmanager exactly as they always have. Your established processes can be reproduced one-to-one, while the digital features are ready whenever you and your team choose to use them. This allows you to modernize step by step without disrupting your day-to-day operations.
Switching is easier than you think.
We know that switching systems can feel daunting. That is why we support you with the migration of your existing data and configure the auctionmanager to match your workflows. Developed and supported in Munich – with direct access to the people who build the software.
